I get it, almost everyone has of in a lie or two, so we might not have the luxury of pointing accusing fingers at people who have an MSc. in lying.

While you as an individual might give a white lie or two some days just to save your head at work or get away with something, the varying reasons why other persons out there lie their way through things will come off as a shock to you.

The lie matter to them

Like, with some persons, it’s just so important they field a lie or two in every statement they make; some discreet ones and the less obvious ones. And believe you me, it’s not about you at all but their psychological frame of mind, where peddling lies is their life.

Admitting the truth means losing control 

They also want to be on top of every argument, and if that means lying their way through? By all means, yes.

They don’t want to lose face value

Okay, now this is them thinking about what others will think about them when they actually reveal truths rather than fables. Pathological or sociopathic liars want to be loved and respected, and sometimes telling the truth won’t get them that.

They don’t see a lie as a lie

True that. When under pressure, some individuals are forced to believe things they think up in their heads as the truth. Their desire to make things work out while under extreme stress or pressure overwhelms their memory, the scenarios constructed in their brain now becomes their truth.
